In 1889, Beulah Grant (Campbell) daughter of Adam Grant, became one of the most common names in Grove City. She’s the namesake for the Beulah Subdivision, Beulah Park and the Town of Beulah, a “town” Grant created which exists today only in Franklin County records.

Adda Harbanger

1907 – Adda Harbanger, an OSU physical education graduate, was the first coach for an all-male high school track team in 1907, according to Grover C. Davis in 1980. High school classes were held at the Park Street School once located at Park Street and Arbutus Avenue. Davis was a senior when the first Jackson Township High School opened in 1910. High school grades were first held in the primary school building pictured.
