CENTURY VILLAGE—Located at Fryer Park, 4185 Orders Road, the village provides visitors with an idea of what pioneer life was like in the mid-1800s. It is open free June through September on the fourth Saturday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Visitors can walk through the park anytime during daylight hours. A tour can be scheduled during daytime hours throughout the year depending on weather conditions. Guided tours for school groups, $3 per person. Guided tours all other groups, $3 per child age 12 and under, $5 per adult.
GROVE CITY WELCOME CENTER AND MUSEUM—The museum showcases the history of Grove City and Jackson Township. Information is also available about the surrounding townships of Pleasant, Prairie and Franklin. More than 1,000 artifacts are on display and the inventory is rotated on a quarterly basis to keep a fresh look for visitors. A tour can be schedule at the museum by any group. Guided tours for school groups, $3 per person. Guided tours all other groups, $3 per child age 12 and under, $5 per adult.
GRANT-SAWYER HOME—This historical 1840s era house and property can be viewed with a tour guide March through September. Tours limited to 10 people through the house at one time. Cost is $5 per adult, $3 per child age 12 and under, and can be scheduled by calling the Museum, 614-277-3061. The house is open to the public free-of-charge on special occasions.
WALKING TOURS—Walking tours of the Grove City Town Center are approximately one hour. Tours are April through October. Tours can be slightly abbreviated on request. It’s a great opportunity to see and learn the history of older buildings in the Grove City’s downtown. Guided tours are $5 per adult, $3 per child age 12 and under.
