Breck’s Sawmill and Carl Grossman

Carl Grossman worked as the head sawyer at the saw mill operated by William Breck, the man considered the founder of Grove City. Before working for Breck, Grossman walked round trip daily to his first job at a sawmill near Greenlawn Cemetery. After Breck’s death, Grossman and a partner, a Mr. Stephens, took over the business.
